Pimm’s Cocktail Made Easy

If you drink gin fairly often, you’ve probably heard of a Pimm’s cocktail.

If not, then let’s learn about them! Pimm’s cocktails are usually made with Pimm’s No. 1 or prepared gin. If you want to, buy some and try it with the rest of the ingredients in my recipe. Otherwise, I’ll be showing you how to make your own Pimm’s the easiest way. That way you’re guaranteed to enjoy the results.

Enjoyment is in your hands with food and drink recipes. Alter measurements as you see fit!

The not-as-easy way includes steeping the main ingredients overnight with a real orange. I’m impatient when it comes to creating cocktails sometimes, so I chose to use orange liqueur instead.

How to Make a Pimm’s Cocktail

Pimm’s cocktails are generally fruity, spicy drinks enjoyed in warmer seasons. My recipe calls for ginger ale, but you can enjoy yours with lemonade or lemon-lime soda.

To fill about 2 glasses, we need:

  • 2 glasses with ice cubes
  • 2 – 4 lemon wedges
  • 4 – 6 cucumber slices
  • 2 – 4 orange wedges
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur*
  • 1/4 cup dry gin*
  • 1/2 cup sweet vermouth wine*
  • 1 cup ginger ale*
  • A dash of mint leaves

*these are the required base ingredients for a Pimm’s cocktail. Anything extra is just bonus flavor and beauty in the glass.

How to Whip Up a Pimm’s Cocktail

We should already have ice in our glasses, but if not, put some in there!

Evenly distribute the lemon, orange, and cucumber slices in the glasses.

Pour half a cup of the homemade Pimm’s into each glass.

Pour half a cup of the ginger ale into each glass.

Stir a dash of mint leaves in with a long stirring spoon.

You can double or half the recipe easily¬†if you don’t want to make two servings at once. Or just mix a bunch of homemade Pimm’s up and store it in the fridge until you’re ready to mix it with fruit into a glass!
